Project Goal:
Supporting sustainable development through preventative and curative health care and awareness raising.

Project Objectives:

  1. To raise the awareness of poor and marginalized women, men and children in selected Symbiosis project areas regarding important health issues.
  2. To improve the access of poor and marginalized women, men and children in selected Symbiosis working areas to basic primary health services.
  3. To improve the access of poor and marginalized women and men in selected areas to cataract surgery and dental treatment.

Story:
Momotaj is a house wife and she is 36. She works as a made servant. She is a group member of “Boronnoda Shurma savings group” in Gazipur Sadar. Her husband is a fisher man. They have 3 children. Two of her daughters are studying into Symbiosis Pre school. She is working with Symbiosis for the last three years. She has problem in her eyes. One day she had an injury in her eye with Tube well handle. Since then she was not able to see properly. For this reason she was not able to work properly. In this time she heardabout our activity from one of Symbiosis Staff name Sajeda. She took the addresses from her and the next date for eye camp.
