Story: Sanbanda village is under of makinganj district. This village is going beside Kaligonga river and most of the time it’s affected by river. Farmers of the village are not able to grow good foods just because of that river. Most of the people of that village are uneducated and unemployed. Monowara is living in that village .she is 32 and married she have two sons and a daughter. Her husband is Raza mia. he is a boat driver. Their two sons are going to school but its really difficult for them to send their child to the school because they were unable to give the school fee and others materials cost.
Symbiosis has start working in their village through Functional Education. Monowara spooked to other members of Symbiosis and she asks her husband to join to the FE groups. Her husband was agree and she join to the group and she is r egular to the group. In the meantime she joins to the Surjomukhi club which is savings club and she start saving to the club. Then, she took a loan of Tk. 3000 from the group and purchases a cow. Each and every day she can sales milk at least of two litters which is about 50 Tk. Then she starts a poultry farm and she can sales hen from the farms as well. Each and every week she can earn money not less then TK. 350 – 400. Then she starts a vegetable garden near to her house and now she can sales vegetable as well. Now she is really happy with the change that occurred in her life. Her sons and daughter going to the school regularly. Now she is cashier of the club and now she believes anyone can change their life if they have good intention to work. She is thankful to Symbiosis.
Analysis: This story shows that a significant change has happened in Sanbanda’s life. She feels empowered by having learned to savings groups through the success of his income generation activities. Sanbanda’s husbands and other family members are happy with the changes that have occurred in her life.
