Story:

Humayan Kabir is a young man. He lives in Bamonbadhua village at Dhobaura under Mymensingh district. His father’s name is Mohammad Ali and he has one brother and three sisters. They don’t go to school. Mohammad Ali is a poor farmer and day laborer. His daily income is around 80 taka. So he is not able to give them good food and clothes. They don’t use latrine. They are unconscious about hygiene and good health. Humayan was the oldest in his all brother and sisters. He has a little education and he always thinks about their family.

One day Humayan met with DPDS staff Mr. Masud and told him about his family condition. Mr. Masud gave him some suggestion. After this Humayan joined to a saving group named Akota Purush Somittee and used to save 15 Taka per week. After one year their saving became 20,000 Taka.In the mean time he received three days training on Fish Culture and Domestic Animal Rearing that was organized by RIGP. He took 10,000 Tk. Loan from Somittee and also took lease two medium sized ponds. Then he started to grow fish in these ponds. He was followed mixed fish culture. After eight months he had sold all fish from ponds with total 35,000 Tk.His neat profit was 21,000Tk.He repaid his all loans with this money. He helps his father’s family.
At present their family income around 175 Tk. per day. They are able to meet up their important needs. Humayan’s brother and sisters are going to school now and they can wear good clothes. They use sanitary latrine and drink arsenic free water. Now they are conscious about good health and good food. They have extended another three ponds and grown fish in large scale.  Now they are model family of their village. The villagers come to him and ask about fish culture. Government Officials also visit his ponds and give thanks to him. They are very happy and grateful to Symbosis for his valuable change in life.

Analysis:
Humayan is now good position in the society. He is seeing a dream to build up a good future for his family. He wants to change his family status by learning educations with his family members. He has a good relation to Symbiosis Bangladesh.
